Double girder cranes can achieve greater lifting heights, speeds, and working loads than single girder overhead traveling cranes and can therefore be used for a wide range of applications from intermittent to frequent use.

It has a large capacity and wide application. Generally, when the rated load weight is more than 15 tons or the span is over 30m, a double girder overhead crane is a preferred option.
